In the 1950s most Summer dresses came with a bolero. We think this is a superb idea that really should not be forgotten and deserves a comeback!
The dress is simple yet beautiful and flattering while the reversible bolero makes it versatile and adds that extra cherry to your sundae!
We imagine you wearing this dress with the bolero looking decent enough for a proper event and then when the sun goes down you throw off the bolero and dance all night! When the dance is over and the air is chilly you put the bolero back on for your stroll home.
Being cut just below the bust, with no waist seam, the long vertical panels are elongating and slimming on every size and height. This truly is a flattering and forgiving piece! On the front the neckline is square with a slightly rounded curve and on the back shoulder straps shape a V-neck. The dress is closed on the back with a long concealed zipper and has practical hidden pockets in the side seams. As always, the cut and fabric work nicely together for optimum fit and gorgeous draping.
Thanks to its nice lining the bolero can be worn as is or inside out. Either way, it will keep your shoulders and back warm in impeccable style.
This year we bring back the popular bombshell bolero and dress duo in a selection of sweet feminine and summery fabrics for you to choose from. Wear it with wedges for those long Summer parties at the pier or heels for more formal occasions.
