The low economy in the 1930s made the seamstresses extra creative and the garments got very interesting cuts as fabrics where hard to find and they often had to make do with whatever scraps of old household textiles they could find. This dress with all its intriguing cuts yet simple material draws inspiration from that era and the whole silhouette simply breathes the 30s! We hope you think it’s as fantastic as we do!
Alluring geometrical shapes and lines and cap sleeves with flat shoulders makes this dress timeless and sleek, while the soft V-neck, gathered hips and flowy A-line skirt adds a feminine and romantic touch.
The back of the dress has the same striking cuts as the front and it also holds a concealed zipper that makes the dress a piece of cake to slip in and out of. Talking about cake, this dress holds another sweet surprise – hidden pockets in the side seams!
As this dress is made without any completely horizontal cuts it is very flattering for all body lengths and shapes and will elegantly mark your waist no matter at what height your waist is located.
The simple material in combination with the sophisticated cuts makes the garment both fancy enough for many finer occasions yet simple and comfortable enough for everyday wear. Only your styling sets the limits!
