Sweater weather!

Ivory & sand wool

After studying hundreds of photos of vintage sweater vests we’ve come up with this - what we find to be the most timeless, flattering and feminine silhouette!

The warming vest has a long, 1920’s inspired torso that will look equally good on top of a skirt or pants as is does tucked in, so you will have lots of styling options with it.
The curved V-neck is compatible with most shirts and blouses and adds a feminine touch.
You can even go all in and wear it with a tie or bowtie and a flatcap!

Loved our Romantic Lace Dress from AW23? Then you’ll be sure to love The Romantic Lace Cardi!

When we started wearing The Romantic Lace Dress we thought: This would make a great cardigan! And indeed, it does! The feminine silhouette with leg-of-mutton sleeves, the dainty lace knit, the scalloped edges and stand-up collar make this the cardi of your dreams. Whether you wear it buttoned-up like the Victorians or a bit more open to match your 1970s bohemian vibe, we’re sure that you’re gonna love this new, soft cardigan.

Forest green & rust wool

We based the silhouette of this top on the flattering one of our much-loved Technicolor Dream Tee. It shares the same short waist and puffy sleeves but this one comes with a snug V-neck and of course: Squirrels!

The ultimate autumn/winter theme for a knit top: Squirrels and their acorns of course!
This soft, woolen top closes in the back with a button to make sure that you don’t mess up your hairdo when getting into your sweater, and the ribbed waist and puffy sleeves accents your hourglass figure. You may need to squirrel away more than one of these cuties to last you through the autumns and winters to come!

Peach mélange wool

This early 1900’s inspired college style cardigan is a love affair between our Cambridge Cutie Cardi and a sailor sweater, fit for long summer evenings at sea. But it could come in handy at the office too!

The cardigan is of course fitted with a proper sailor collar and the hip length (made slightly longer than our Cambridge Cutie Cardi) in combination with the long cuffed sleeves and deep patch pockets makes it warm and cozy as can be. Though not quite as warm as its winter sister, mind you.
The long tassel ended belt, is just like the rest of the garment, a historically correct attribute from the 1910’s-20’s. The belt will help emphasize your waist for an extra feminine touch.

New sweater style! A short-sleeved sweater top in Fair Isle knit! Complete your 1930’s and 1940’s wardrobe with this warm, woolen piece in beautiful colors.

The new Fair Isle top features puff sleeves, a low turtleneck and buttons on the left shoulder. It comes in a range of easy-to-match colors and is of course in pure, soft wool. It’s long enough to be tucked into your pants but can also be worn over. The dense jacquard knitting pattern makes it surprisingly warm.

The colorful patterns originate from Fair Isle, Northern Scotland and have inspired knitters for decades, popularized by The Prince of Wales in the 1920’s, who was seen wearing sweater vests in these patterns. Since then, it has been a classic sweater pattern for both men and women.

Forest green cashmere blend

Whether your wardrobe is contemporary, 1970’s, Edwardian or any decade in-between, this new, warm and fuzzy sweater is a must-have!

Two firsts in one sweater! Our first time making a sweater version of our signature Ice Skater Cardigan and in a new to us yarn!
A short, puff sleeved sweater in a rich cashmere blend with a turtleneck that buttons on the side and the cable knit you may recognize from your trusty Ice Skater Cardi.
Style it with our Secret Split Skirt for an Edwardian look, with our Katharine Stardust Pants for a 1940’s or 1970’s look and with our Hepper Hepburn Pants for a 1950’s look. The options are endless with a classic like this sweater. And did we mention how soft it is?

With the new logo!

Most knitwear will get pilling at first and the best way to deal with this is to remove the pilling with a sharp object - a wool comb for example! Pulling it off will make it worse.
When you have removed the initial pillings it will decrease, and you will have a great sweater for years to come.

How to care for your wool knits:
Your pure wool knits (not just ours) do not need a lot of washing. Wool is famously self-cleansing and if sweaters need freshening up, hang them outside to air them out. Only wash when downright dirty.
Our knitwear can be washed in the machine on a wool cycle or of course by hand in lukewarm water -never hot water which will cause irreparable shrinkage. Always use a detergent specifically for wool.
Never wring out a wool sweater, just press the water out of it gently.
When you have washed a wool sweater, lay it out on a towel and gently roll up the towel. When the towel feels wet, unroll, and lay the sweater out to dry flat. Never hang dry wool, as the fibers will stretch and the sweater lose it's shape.

Generally we recommend storing your knitwear folded as opposed to hanging, as they may lose their shape over time.

Burgundy & sand wool

We know that you have loved our Edwardian Cycling Sweater and that you generally love our cardigans, so we thought: Let’s combine the two! And here we are - An Edwardian Cycling Cardigan!

In its day, this type of garment was classified as casual wear or active wear, often worn for bicycling or hiking and it is thick enough to wear as a jacket in climates not quite as cold as ours in Scandinavia.

The silhouette with the big leg-of-mutton sleeves and hour glass shape was back in style in the 1930s and even the 1980s, so with this piece you will get a slice of fashion history, easily incorporated into any decade of style. We would even like to be so bald as to claim this silhouette can also be found on fashionistas of today.

The warm and soft knit is the same heavy quality as our sweater, but now with so many more styling options! We hope you will love it as much as we do!
