The silhouette of the 1970’s clothes was just as flowy as the hairstyles. Think wide pants and jackets and long dresses and skirts.
Edwardian maxi skirts and blouses were back in fashion, meaning our Edwardian inspired designs can be styled to suit this decade too!

No vintage wardrobe is complete without a beret or two, ask our designer Emmy, she has twentyfive or more!
This beret is described as "one size" but is approximately a size 57. Diameter: 28 cm / 11".
When searching for berets to add to our repertoire, we stumbled upon the Swedish hatmakers CTH Ericson that's been around since 1885!

These nearly knee-high socks pairs perfectly with your slacks to avoid a chilly and unflattering gap!
Note that we don’t accept returns of opened packages when it comes to socks.
These socks are great with our full-length slacks and ancle length pants and skirts. If your height is less than 165 cm (5 ft 5”) they will also be compatible with our knee-length knickerbockers and skirts.
The German family-business Falke have perfected their craft in high-quality socks since 1895. Here at the Emmy Design headquarters we’ve thoroughly tested our way through their classics and picked out our favorites.
These socks are from Falke’s Family range and due to a very high cotton content, they are particularly skin-friendly and therefore also suitable for sensitive feet. They’re made almost entirely of a resource-friendly and socially acceptable cotton, supplemented by a small proportion of recycled functional yarns for greater elasticity and high durability. Reinforced stress zones further ensure the sock's longevity.

These socks got a full score from the Emmy Design team due to, not only their comfiness in all weathers, but especially for their ability to stay up all-through the day. Thanks to the innovative combination of premium, soft merino wool on the outside and skin-kind cotton on the inside, these socks guarantee excellent temperature regulation and unbeatable comfort. Besides the awesome fit and the reinforced stress zones, the extra flat seams contribute to the outstanding comfort.

Tired of buying new tights all the time? These may be pricy, but they will outlast all your chain store ones – and keep you warmer too!
The sizing is in European womenswear sizes. We advice you to pick your usual Emmy Design size. In our experience, if you're taller than 170 cm (5'7") and/or hourglass or pear shaped, you'd be more comfortable in one size up.
Size 42/44 and up have an added panel in the back, allowing more space for the hips, so if you're tall and have wide hips you might want to size up to this size or larger.
Note that we don’t accept returns of opened packages when it comes to socks and tights.

These tights are in the same lovely material as our knee-highs and the silky-soft fine knit is comfortable and warming for the colder months. Unlike cheaper tights, these ones have a shaped foot and that’s just one of the features that makes them so durable.

Few garments are just as warm and toasty as they are beautiful, but this dress has it all!
We’ve taken a look at our popular Fair Isle dresses from previous seasons and made some updates. This time you get a little more length, a snuggly shawl collar and a more flared skirt, still in wonderfully soft pure merino wool. This makes for a timeless dress that can easily go from office day to restaurant dinner!
The jacquard knitting technique used for the Fair Isle pattern in the upper body makes it very dense and warm and you can close up the neckline or wear it open as you prefer.
Since the dress is a full outfit on its own, dressing in the morning is a piece of cake!

A flared midi skirt, inspired by the trailblazing women of the 1910’s who braved above-ankle hem lines for the first times in history!
This marvelously swirling skirt will have you sailing down the streets in chic style. Whether styled casually or dressy, it’s a skirt that will make you feel like you’re in a movie! The fabric flows around your legs in cascades, draping beautifully thanks to the pleats, adding weight to the skirt.
Does it look familiar? That’s because it’s based on our popular Pretty Pioneer Skirt, now with the historically accurate addition of a V-shaped waistband. Not as historically correct but damn practical: hidden side pockets!
