New season, past seasons!

Autumn plaid

Ever wanted to feel like Anne of Green Gables running wild in the countryside? This dress will help your imagination a bit on the way.

This late 1800's inspired dress feels surprisingly contemporary with its feminine voluminous 3/4 length sleeves and grandfather collar. The dropped waist and curved gathered yokes further add to the feminine and timeless style and so does the pleated full skirt. The dropped waist and vertical cuts ensure a lovely fit on all heights and the skirt will, depending on your height, swirl somewhere between mid-calf to ankle.
Tie the belt in the back to mark your waist to your liking. Wear the dress buttoned all the way up, or slightly undone for a more casual look.
PS. We’ve hidden pockets in the side seams, large enough to hide your smartphone amongst all the swirly fabric!

€265
Peach mélange wool

This early 1900’s inspired college style cardigan is a love affair between our Cambridge Cutie Cardi and a sailor sweater, fit for long summer evenings at sea. But it could come in handy at the office too!

The cardigan is of course fitted with a proper sailor collar and the hip length (made slightly longer than our Cambridge Cutie Cardi) in combination with the long cuffed sleeves and deep patch pockets makes it warm and cozy as can be. Though not quite as warm as its winter sister, mind you.
The long tassel ended belt, is just like the rest of the garment, a historically correct attribute from the 1910’s-20’s. The belt will help emphasize your waist for an extra feminine touch.

Antique white cashmere blend

We did it again! The rich cashmere blend Ice Skater Sweater is back in new colorways!

If you know our signature Ice Skater Cardigan, you will recognize the pattern on this sweater. And like the cardi, it also sits on your natural waist, perfectly fit for any high waisted bottom.
Whether your wardrobe is contemporary, 1970’s, Edwardian or any decade in-between, this warm and fuzzy sweater is a must-have! Style it with our Tireless Trailblazer Skirt for and Edwardian look, with The Norma Jean Jeans for a Marilyn look or with Those Sassy 70’s Jeans for laid-back, casual 1970’s vibes.
We see no reason not to be in love with this super soft and cozy cashmere and merino blend sweater.

Teal cord

A brand new piece of 1940s fashion for you: The Loyal Land Girl Shirt! Practical, easy to wear, easy to pair. In short: A loyal wardrobe staple!

This colorway is sold exclusively at emmydesign.se.

This new shirt is vastly inspired by the workwear of the 1940’s but who said you couldn’t wear it with a pair of flared pants for a 1970’s look?
A very versatile and classic cut, with darts to emphasize your waist and bust, gathers on the back to make sure you can move freely, a light puff on the sleeve for that feminine touch and chest pockets.

This shirt is in the same corduroy as in The Katharine Stardust Slacks so you can get a jumpsuit look in full corduroy!

€119
Organic raw heavy denim

Jeans done the Emmy Design way! With a high waist, wide legs and with patch pockets, we predict that these jeans will quickly become everyone’s favorite.

With Those Sassy 70’s Jeans you will get a versatile and durable pair of jeans, easily paired with any top. They feature a front zipper and button closure, shaping darts on the front and back, belt loops and of course the patch pockets, front and back. Made from raw, heavy denim with decorative stitching in classic ochre yellow. A stretchy and comfy pair of jeans!

€215
Blush viscose/wool

Your urges for long sleeve dresses have been heard and here she is!

This 1930s inspired number comes with full length voluminous sleeves with slim buttoned cuffs. The front is adorned with decorative brown mélange buttons with the right 30s style look. Gathered details both above and below the bust gives a feminine touch and lovely fit. The vertical cuts mean the dress looks lovely on gals of all heights and the drapey skirt will be mid-calf length on most.
The side seams hold practical concealed pockets.
The included elastic belt can be used to mark your waist and it has a luxurious art deco style belt buckle made to match the buttons.
As the belts loops attached to this dress are only meant to keep the belt and garment from being detached whilst on display, we advise you to remove them so that the belt is free to sit at your natural waist.

Pale indigo wool

Without a doubt our most loved piece through the years: The Ice Skater Cardigan!

This pure wool cable knit cardigan has been with us for many collections and continues to be asked for and to receive a lot of love. So here it is back for another round in new, lush colors!
Knitted in heavy pure wool, it makes the perfect friend to have with you year-round. Here in Sweden, we wear it over a shirt at the office in the winter and the rest of the year we always bring one in case it gets cold.
The length hits your natural waist and is a great fit for your flared dresses and high waisted pants. With a cardigan of this length your waistline doesn’t drown in excess knit and your silhouette is intact.

Hazelnut wool tweed

New this fall is this flouncy midi skirt! We drew inspiration from the silhouettes of the 1940’s but this skirt could also be worn with heavy knee-high boots for a 1970’s look.

The waistband widens towards the middle of the front and closes in the back with buttons and a zipper. It comes in corduroy and nice woollen fabrics, perfectly suited to keep you warm on your walks in the park! And of course it has phone sized pockets hidden in the front seams! Pair it with our waistcoat or jacket for that early 20th century skirt suit-look.

€185
Peachy lawn cloth

You know what? We just couldn’t get enough of that truly authentic British lace we sourced for our last spring collection and simply had to incorporate it into a new blouse design!

Pintucks and a mix of inserted and overlaying lace throughout the whole design, a neat square-cut collar and the 3/4 length sleeves set an Edwardian tone.
The blouse is made from a sheer and soft pure cotton lawn cloth, authentic to the early 1900’s and a breeze to wear. Mind the lightweight fabric though and choose your underpinnings accordingly!

The lace for this blouse is made today in the same British factory as in the mid-1800s and their machines and lace patterns haven’t changed since - how cool is that!

A THOUGHT BEHIND
EVERY LITTLE DETAIL

Every single one of our designs start as an idea in the head of our designer, Emmy.
We personally select top-notch European materials and then Emmy starts sketching. A lot. By hand.

Our pattern making is also done in house, by Sara’s experienced hands and isn’t considered done until everything fits just right. We take pride in these time consuming stages of the creation process, as we know it’s totally worth it in the end!
