New Year - same old timeless style!

Pine green mélange wool

A 1930’s inspired dream dress! Snugly and warm and charming as can be!

This mid-calf length A-line dress is plain knit with decorative vertical lines to visually lengthen and slenderize your figure. The lines on the sleeves are in lace knit while the ones on the body are less transparent as to not be revealing. The ribbed knit at the waistline further enhances your shape.
The cute little collar looks wonderful on its own but even more striking when peeking out from under a cardigan. Unbutton the neck to make dressing easier and tie the tassel ended tie string to your liking.

€185
Hunting tweed, berry

A timeless tweed coat to take you through this and many autumns to come, like a royal out of town! Meticulously designed for you to enjoy for years.

This coat is in pure wool, fully lined and long enough to keep your gams nice and toasty during the autumn months, or in milder climates than in Scandinavia, all through Winter!
The double-breasted coat comes with a self-fabric belt that closes over the buttons. Fitted silhouette with shaping darts in front and back and a slit in the back to ease your stride. Deep side pockets with pocket flaps. And corduroy details under the collar, pocket flaps and backside of the belt. A corduroy that you can of course find in other pieces of the collection too. All in all, a very classic coat that you can bring out every year even as your style evolves and times changes.

This spring we give you: The Coquette Keyhole Top! A 1930’s inspired pure wool knit top with lace knit details!

This sassy little knit top has been on Emmy’s wish list for years and finally it has found its way here! Pure soft wool, knitted with lace knit details and a keyhole neckline that finishes in ribbon, matching the ones on the sleeves = 1930’s goodness from us to you!
Wear the soft pink one for your ballerina core looks or the black for your goth moments, there’s (at least) one for everybody.

Brown pinstripe tweed

A 1930’s inspired classic pencil skirt with practical features for your every need!

The inspiration from the 1930’s is obvious, but that doesn’t mean that we have to forego practical modern feats such as belt loops and big pockets! This skirt has phone deep pockets and kick pleats, front and back, so you can run after your kids while looking fabulous.
If you loved The Flirty 1930’s Skirt from SS24, then you will recognize this as a slightly longer version with an included self-fabric belt.

Adjustability: This skirt has 2 cm (0,8”) seam allowance along the side seams, all the way up in the waistband, allowing for it to be taken out up to around 4 cm (1,6”) for a perfect fit now and over time.

You asked, we delivered! The Edwardian Cycling Sweater is back! And the new colorways are divine!

We’ve worked hard to get our Edwardian Cycling Sweater as true to a specific 1890s museum piece as possible without compromising on the voluminous leg-of-mutton sleeves. A silhouette that was back in fashion in the 1930's, and then again in the 1980s, and is now trending again! In conclusion, this sweater is a true fashion statement, able to pick up vibes from multiple decades of style. It's now up to you to style it for the day!

In its day, this type of garment was classified as casual wear or active wear, often worn for bicycling or hiking.
The overall rib knit gives this sweater its flattering hourglass shaped silhouette and makes it so warm and dense it could easily be worn as outerwear in climates milder than our Scandinavian. In addition to the very voluminous leg-of-mutton sleeves with cuffed hems, the sweater also sports a turtleneck collar with buttoning in both sides continuing along the shoulders. You only have to open one side to get into the sweater –but it can be nice to have the option of opening both sides to accommodate a really big Gibson girl hair-do!

Step into your midcentury style in this classic shirt – a versatile friend for any occasion!

Note, this garment shrinks considerably when washed. See more details under sizing.

Imagine your favorite 1940s or 50s movie star, lounging in her changing room between takes: Don’t you just see her in this shirt and a pair of wide legged pants? Now we can all channel her style in this classic, short sleeved shirt.
The pointy collar, darts at the waist and yoke with gatherings are trademarks of that era and the result is a wardrobe staple! Wear it with your favorite pants or a pencil skirt for that sassy secretary look.

Introducing a new design! This chic and classic Fair Isle cardigan with its dressy shawl collar will keep you warm and snugly whether you wear it with a tweedy business outfit or a cute dress.

We always love a good Fair Isle cardi and this season we’re bringing you a new style! It is waist-short, has puff sleeves, and features a cozy shawl collar. All in soft pure merino wool. The short waist makes for a smooth and feminine silhouette when paired with your dresses and high waist pants and skirts.
The jacquard knitting technique used for the Fair Isle pattern in the upper part of the cardigan makes it very dense and warm.

Organic raw heavy denim

A flared midi skirt, inspired by the trailblazing women of the 1910’s who braved above-ankle hem lines for the first times in history!

This marvelously swirling skirt will have you sailing down the streets in chic style. Whether styled casually or dressy, it’s a skirt that will make you feel like you’re in a movie! The fabric flows around your legs in cascades, draping beautifully thanks to the pleats, adding weight to the skirt.
Does it look familiar? That’s because it’s based on our popular Pretty Pioneer Skirt, now with the historically accurate addition of a V-shaped waistband. Not as historically correct but damn practical: hidden side pockets!

We love them as much as you do, The Miss Fancy Pants Slacks! And now they’re back – in summer versions! They have been an Emmy Design stable since 2013 and after a little holiday they’re back in light summery fabrics.

A classic silhouette with the wide legs and extra high waist never goes out of style, and with the strategically placed pocket flaps on the bum, it looks nice and perky. Their elongating corset look makes these slacks slimming as well as comfy. No tight waistband, but instead having the pressure around the waist evenly distributed makes for a very comfy pair of pants. We recommend wearing them with suspenders and a shirt tucked in!
And for you tall gals: Fret not, the generous hem gives you another 8cm (3”) to be let down.

New sweater style! A short-sleeved sweater top in Fair Isle knit! Complete your 1930’s and 1940’s wardrobe with this warm, woolen piece in beautiful colors.

The new Fair Isle top features puff sleeves, a low turtleneck and buttons on the left shoulder. It comes in a range of easy-to-match colors and is of course in pure, soft wool. It’s long enough to be tucked into your pants but can also be worn over. The dense jacquard knitting pattern makes it surprisingly warm.

The colorful patterns originate from Fair Isle, Northern Scotland and have inspired knitters for decades, popularized by The Prince of Wales in the 1920’s, who was seen wearing sweater vests in these patterns. Since then, it has been a classic sweater pattern for both men and women.

Hazelnut wool tweed

Dreaming of a vintage ski-girl look? Search no more, because here it is - A short and sporty hooded jacket!

A jacket with a hood to keep your ears warm, and an overall tailored look, will make sure that you are the sharpest looking gal in town.
With its pointy hood and strong shoulders, it draws you to think of the sporty winter looks of the 1940s, but it can even be worn with, dare we suggest it, a more 1970s wardrobe too!

Choose between a classic tweed or the all-new corduroy, which are both fully lined, except for the hood, and nicely suited for mild autumn or spring weather.
Pair with matching pants or wear it with your favorite classics.

Maroon mélange wool

Few garments are just as warm and toasty as they are beautiful, but this dress has it all!

We’ve taken a look at our popular Fair Isle dresses from previous seasons and made some updates. This time you get a little more length, a snuggly shawl collar and a more flared skirt, still in wonderfully soft pure merino wool. This makes for a timeless dress that can easily go from office day to restaurant dinner!
The jacquard knitting technique used for the Fair Isle pattern in the upper body makes it very dense and warm and you can close up the neckline or wear it open as you prefer.
Since the dress is a full outfit on its own, dressing in the morning is a piece of cake!
